Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb. whole wheat pizza dough
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Kosher salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1 large salmon fillet
  • Olive oil for brushing
  • 1/2 cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp capers
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh dill sprigs for garnish
  • Chopped parsley for garnish
  • 1 lemon, for zest and juice

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (205 degrees Celsius).
  • Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your preferred thickness.
  • Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat and stir in flour to create a roux.
  • Gradually add heavy cream to the roux, stirring until smooth, and simmer until thickened. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Season the salmon with salt, pepper, and olive oil; cook until flaky.
  • Spread the cream sauce over the pizza dough, leaving a border for the crust. Top with flaked salmon, red onion, capers, and mozzarella cheese.
  • Toast for 10 minutes until golden and crispy.
  • Garnish with fresh dill, chopped parsley, and a squeeze of lemon juice before serving.
